Things to consider when visiting Udawale National Park
You can book your jeep at the entrance (location https://goo.gl/maps/kbhzJira7g32), there is a jeep leaving every 5 minutes, so no need to reserve. The total cost of a jeep and the park entrance is approx. $100 (based on 2 adults and 2 small kids).
Although most jeeps don’t have seat belts, you can request one with seat belts at the entrance, and it should be possible to secure one without extra charge.
It is better to visit in the afternoon as the sun gets really strong
Most jeeps have a roof but it is still advisable to bring a hat or a cap to protect you from the sun (and look fab in the pictures!)
Sometimes the elephants peak into the jeeps to find food. Try not to bring it as it can be dangerous.
